    Arrival & Champagne Reception

    Step into the Mount Nelson's glittering Oasis Room, where flutes of grand cru Champagne and effortless style set the tone for an evening of mining excellence, fine wine and celebration.

  2. 17:00 - 19:00

    Sip, Swirl & Socialise with the Winemakers

    Rub shoulders with South Africa's finest winemakers over a curated tasting of their most celebrated vintages, paired with exquisite canapés and live entertainment. Keep an eye out for a playful interactive blind tasting twist, with results revealed later in the evening.

  3. 19:00 - 22:30

    The Main Event: Mine, Wine & Dine Awards

    The celebration moves to the Mount Nelson Ballroom for a dazzling four-course feast, with each table hosted by a winemaker pouring a curated selection from their own estate. Live entertainment and up-close moments with the winemakers keep the energy flowing throughout. Between courses, we raise a glass to the year's most extraordinary leaders and estates as the 2027 Mine, Wine & Dine Awards are presented.

    Cigars, Brandy & Blues

The Mount Nelson Hotel, the Pink Lady.

A Cape Town institution since 1899, the Mount Nelson - the 'Pink Lady' - sets nine acres of manicured gardens beneath Table Mountain. Its grand ballroom and private cellar make an incomparable setting for the evening.

Is the gala open to the public?

Reservations for the Mine, Wine & Dine Gala are open to industry guests by application. Each is reviewed to preserve the balance of the room across the mining and wine worlds.

How does it relate to the Mining Indaba?

The gala is held on the eve of the 2027 Investing in African Mining Indaba, a short drive from the conference - a natural extension of your time in Cape Town.

Can I request specific seating?

Yes. Table-of-eight reservations may nominate their guest list, and we are glad to arrange introductions on request.

What is included in a reservation?

Every seat includes the Champagne reception, the exclusive wine tasting with the winemakers and canapés, the full four-course paired dinner, the awards ceremony, the after-dinner experience and a unique Mine & Wine parting gift.
